Welcome to Tallahassee A.L.E.R.T
The African American Local Election Review Team

We are a grassroots, Black-led civic network committed to educating, organizing, and mobilizing our community to hold local leaders accountable and secure the resources and policies our people deserve.
We host candidate forums, conduct policy research, track key decisions, and build community consensus around the issues that impact us most.

Tallahassee A.L.E.R.T. exists to ensure that Black voters in Tallahassee and Leon County are informed, organized, and powerful, not just during elections, but every single day, decisions are being made.

Candidate Engagement
We host forums, conduct interviews, and research candidates so our community knows exactly where they stand.
Voter & Civic Education
We break down who’s in power, what they’re doing, and how to hold them accountable. From first-time voters to seasoned organizers, everyone has a role to play.
Together, we’re building a more just and politically empowered Black Tallahassee.

We don’t just vote.
We organize.
We strategize.
We win.

Candidate Engagement
We develop grassroots platforms and use a collaborative endorsement process to back candidates and policies that align with Black community priorities.
Voter & Civic Education
We monitor local meetings, track legislation, and push for policies that improve our neighborhoods' conditions, from housing to health to public safety.
