Tallahassee ALERT SMS Privacy Policy

Tallahassee ALERT collects the mobile phone number and text-message consent you voluntarily provide to send volunteer opportunities and County Commission community-priority action alerts. SMS consent is optional.

Mobile information and SMS opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Access within Tallahassee ALERT is limited to authorized ALERT staff who need the information for their work. Providers such as Wix, Scale to Win, and telecommunications carriers may process information only as necessary to operate the website and deliver messages, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security protections. We may disclose information when legally required. These exceptions do not permit other parties to use SMS consent for their marketing.

We retain information only as needed to provide the program, document consent, honor opt-outs, and meet legal obligations. We periodically review records and securely delete information no longer needed. A minimal suppression record may be retained to prevent further texts after an opt-out.

Reply STOP to unsubscribe. To request access, correction, or deletion of your mobile information, or ask a privacy question, email info@tallahasseealert.org. We will review requests promptly, subject to necessary consent, suppression, and legal records.
